You forget the past discussions about Canadians being on this thread. It was pointed out to you, all the references to Canada's health care system in the original post, it is still there ...go look. That is why we have a right to be here, if you do not like the original post get Peter to change it, and Canadians will all go away...and only Americans can all rally round and pat each other on the back and say Hoo Ha America rules everywhere, and health care too...<<gg>> <<The population, well 90%+, live within an hours drive of the US border - all the way from the east coast across the continent to the west, ...>> Same applies to Israel, so what's yer point. <<Think of the country as a national suburb of America>> You can think of it anyway you choose, but really Bru you should reread your history. Sir John A would put you straight in an Ottawa minute. canadahistory.com <<<Canadians cross their country's border more often than most Americans cross a state line. They all vacation in America and successful Canadians generally come to America to stay>>> More generalizations, hasty and silly generalizations ...you are off America's debating team.<g> full stomp. <<They're culturally Americans, would be Americans in fact (yeah, I'm talking about the way the word American is really used, not American as a geographical term) except for an accident of history. More interested in American politics, American everything*, than their own, they seem in a state of perpetual alienation, American in their minds but not in fact.>> You should be honoured your backwoods cousins show an interest in their neighbour. We want to see you do well, your world position has been slipping of late,, we worry for Inode having to pay 15 grand a year for health care coverage and would like to steer him to health care nervona! And besides i already told ya.. Message 28243722 <<<<The presence of Canadians on "A US National Health Care System?" and American political threads are examples ... here they are, arguing their pro and anti opinions on what America's health care system should be. Does anyone argue with Canadians on whether and how they should reform their healthcare system? Not really. We may use it as a good or bad learning example, but what they do up there is their business. Now if I'm wrong about my opinion of Canada, why are you guys on this thread? You and the other Canadians are here because what I said above is essentially right.>>>> Answered in the first couple paragraphs above,, and i should add, you and many others here have raked the Canadian system over the coals continuously for years...it has been great fun..trading anecdote for anecdote and now i have another... 12 year old Grandson was having back pain and received an mri...tumor deep in his spine behind L2,L3 in surgery for 6 hours, within two weeks.... tumor removed, six days in the hospital recovering... and now out of the hospital and doing fine...never any doubt about whether he was covered or not..in other systems there might be doubt about who is paying... and then paying for life on the installment plan. Your post, after all this time, suggests to me your positions are weak or failing...do not take this seriously, the Canadian health care system is a nightmare socialist system, grey and dark and the American system is the best health care system in the word...before Obama care ,, of course. Now on with the mebate as usual, we all keep and guard our positions, with blindfolds on, and learn nothing...condition normal.
