NYBellBoy

I cannot take credit for this stock. Pat mentioned it a few days ago, and I have since done a fair amount of research. If you go back throught the posts you can find a fair amount out via the links.

TI is very interested in the work that these guys do (mentioned in the same breath as AMATI on more than 1 occasion). Similar to AMTX they had the technology before the market was ready for it and consequently have not produced the earnings on the DSP side.

They are transitioning from CT products to DSP and have been able to survive (positive earnings!) because of this.

I am looking very closely at these guys. I would not be surprised if TI picked up these guys or helped finance them with the 100 million that they have earmarked for establishing the DSP market.

Let me know what you think.

Maybe we should take this conversation over to the proper thread.

Cheers
Frank

[Re: SSPIF]

> Come on techies, take a look and post results.

There's no doubt that SSPIF is into a hot
technology where they _could_ make a ton
of cash. Everyone is putting chips into
every little toy & product ... DSP is and
will be a hot topic. That's why the news
of TI's new super-fast chip (what, the C6x
that runs around 500 Mhz, is that correct?)
was such a big deal.

It's a given that DSP is hot. The question
is, what can SSPIF do about it? That's
more a financial & market related question
than it is a technical one, in my opinion.
Their web page looks good. But ... what can
they do with their stock price?

my 2c.
