This was the gold standard of Presidential warning, a PDB, not a daily report to local law enforcement. It was specific that Bin Laden was determined to strike. It is one of the greatest presidential failures of this 236 year old country.

Its preposterous that you make such a comparison, then hold Obama accountable to a local border arms fuckup, parroting for the ATF-hating NRA attacks of Obama (and Holder,) over any logic or reason.

The Presidents job is to protect the nation. They lacked the imagination to understand the potential damage from the Bin Laden terrorist threat.

The Republicans in 2000 wanted to bring back Star Wars Missile defense, while not fully funding federal or local law enforcement, or government intelligence. The FBI (like the ATF) was an arm of socialist government, not private business after all. Privatization, and defense contracts like those for trillion dollar Star Wars missile defense, was their platform.

My Brother was a DC cop at the time, in the 'terrorist' div. he said they got 50 reports a day like this.

That's the problem. On any particular day one can see literally hundreds of reports from all intelligence agency collectors (CIA, DIA, NSA, Army, Navy, Marines.. and foreign allies) discussing potential conspiracies and threats against this country, or it's people (domestically and overseas). It's an incredibly difficult task to find the "diamonds in the dirt" and determine which reports require more active investigation.

In fact, that's part of the enemy's disinformation and counter-intelligence plan. They will flood the "intel market" with all kinds of false reports in order to cover up their actual operations. We do the very same thing..

My heart-burn definitely resides with Richard Clarke, who was in both the Clinton and Bush administrations. He personally signed the order that permitted Saudis living in this country to be able to return home without being questioned first. When no one else was able to fly over the US, Saudis were being flown back to SA.
