I don't know--weight loss saves medical money in the long run if it can be kept off, and to be fair some of our diet choices are built in (corn syrup in everything).

" It's becoming pretty clear that lifestyle choices, including diet are a driving factor in the explosion of major diseases. I wouldn't allow one government dime (and if I was running a private healthcare plan I wouldn't alllow it either) to be spent on weight loss or obesity drugs (soon to come out in droves no doubt). "

How about spending for aids or other STD's contracted by the promiscuous. Treatment for Drug Addicts. Motorcyclists. Drivers who don't wear seatbelts. Drivers who text while driving. People who do something stupid.
