Re: APPL...Xo Those mid $500 put options are starting to look interesting again if you think there's a chance for some downside this quarter. I don't think the earning this Q will make much difference.. But every time I run my model, it come back to anywhere between 11 to 12 this Q. vs analyst estimate of 10.33. The big question is what are they going to say about 3Q.. If Iphone 5 came in late Sept/early Oct, we will see a very downbeat forecast fro 3Q as Iphone 4S sales should drop to the floor. On the other hand, the Ipad 2 sales should take off with the 399 price tag...I am not sure I want to play this earning announcement.. Not much upside and a bunch of downside for guessing wrong... The only sure thing is that Iphone 5 is going to drive the price crazy... and if the option premium is reasonable, it can be a money maker..
