I have read a lot of Beatle biographies and such trying to understand how they jumped society. Of course, the Hamburg experience HAD to be there to give them that interactive wisdom, But to make it all, everything had to be there--like 13 passes on a craps table. And the beat goes on... Have all their albums--because they were and are so damn important. You cannot say you are educated without reading Homer, Shakespeare--or even the tribal tales of the bible. And the Beatles were a mixture of Joyce and D. H. Lawrence and Buck Owens!
