I mentioned coastal areas.. and the Nile.. Is it (Sphinx) not barely above sea level and on/close to Nile floodplain.. I was looking at the entire northern part.. which could be vastly different from the Nile lowland and coastal areas no ?

My wonder in any event was at how much fluctuation in an almost infinitesimal geologic span there appeared to be from what Brumar posted..

Coincidentally ... that smallish (relatively) area is where the civilization was.. still does not speak to the mass of north Africa..
