"More likely Colunbia College" (sic)

No.

Columbia College is the Ivy League undergraduate school. It grants AB degrees --- a BA in Latin. It is expensive and very selective and DOES NOT admit mid stream students AFAIK.

'Columbia University' has dozens of schools, undergraduate and graduate.

Columbia General studies is the most likely. Enrollment is open to just about anybody. It still grants a degree that says Columbia and caters to the 'minority' enrollment process with all sorts of 'special' situations for admissions and financial support.
