that was the Younger Dryas a brief Ice age after the last ice age. My numbers are rough but the last ice age ended around 16-20k then we had a couple 1000s years of receding ice until thae event that caused the Younger Dryas.

the article I post and can be found in more detail explains most ice ages not comet caused ones, just climate caused one
