Craig, So the Short position in APAT is now 8 times the average daily volume in the stock, if I read your data correctly. I'm told that APAT has a rather small float out, so wouldn't there be quite a scramble to get covered, if the stock were to suddenly start moving up smartly? I'm sitting on such a large cash position right now, it's tempting to start nudging things a little.
Watching the last few days trading, intra-day, I got the impression that some large buyer is trying to accumulate shares by keeping a floor under the stock. So it doesn't appear it can be driven down. (IMHO). Any thoughts? Here's the latest chart on APAT, complete with Bollinger Bands (which I like to use):
