I always got good care at Walter Reed. The doctors were top notch. That's the advantage to being stationed where so many General Officers are stationed! I had some knee problems while I was there. Went in for a consultation, and the orthopedic Doc asked me what was the problem. I explained it to him, that my knees were getting stiff, and sore .. felt like they were grinding bone-on-bone. He took a step back and said he understood, and knew already what the problem was. I waited, expectantly. He replied the problem with my knees was that I hadn't been looking at them enough lately ..... Took me about three seconds to figure out what he meant. LOL
