Obama's record: Net loss of 2 million jobs.

He has created none.

13,914,000 (total unemployed 5-31-2011)
11,984,000 (total unemployed 1-31-2009)
---------------
..1,930,000

This number is misleading because it only counts those fitting the Labor Department's narrow definition of "unemployed". I always add to that the net gain or loss from the size of the actual labor force--the actual number of people able to work.

139,779,000 (total labor force 5-31-2011)
142,201,000 (total labor force 1-31-2009)
---------------
....2,422,000 (number of jobs permenantly lost in the labor force)

This is assuming the population never grew, but that's not the case. The population is always growing, and the definition of the labor force is anyone over the age of 16. Proportionally, if the labor force was the same % on 5-31-2011 as it was when Obama took office, the total job losses are more like 11 million because Obama has actually shrunk both the number of jobs available and the number of people willing to work.
