Yes, dehumidify and use natural body cooling, then the temperature can be way up and it feels good: <I have the cooling at 78 and only run it mostly off peak to draw out the humidity.. lots of ceiling fans,... heat is 64-68. > Wear clothes in winter, set the thermostat low, walk outside and not be shocked.

We didn't heat our apartment in winter because the people above, below, to the sides and the corridor were all hot enough that the heat flow in kept us warm. In summer it wasn't too hot and we had no air conditioning anyway.

We had snowfalls in September and as late as mid May. That left only June, July, August without snow. That's far too long for somebody whose natural state would be naked at a beach in the tropics eating fish and tree ripened fruit.

There should be a good business shuttling A380s from northern Europe and Canada to the southern hemisphere for November, December, January, February, March and to shuttle people from NZ, Oz, Chilly, Argentina to the northern hemisphere for May, June, July, August. During off-peak times, they could fly east to west, following the sun, with their layout being sleeping capsules instead of seats, flying at night, people packed in like sardines. People would be much more comfortable, safer and more could fit in with such horizontal stacking, so the fares would be half price. Fat or tall people would have to take some other airline though special cylinders could be designed for them with extra charges for when the market is proven.

It's surprising airlines haven't yet figured out that people want to lie down, not sit, on mega trips of 10, 11 or 12 hour flights. I'd pay a premium to be stacked like a sardine, with a good internet connection.
