Interesting how koan changes his resume on a monthly basis.

Worse thing that has happened is allowing long term gov careers for the Barney franks of the world. One term and then make them live under the laws they passed.

"You did not answer my question about the Senate. It gives the states equal representation, not the people. That is one difference between our Republic and a pure Democracy. I think you are the one that needs a history lesson."

Not only that but the Senators were appointed by the States and not directly by vote.

If Koan knew anything about history he would realize that the founding fathers were well grounded in history and they knew that there were problems, such as those we are having today with pure democracy. They were concerned by the tyranny of democracy. i.e. the idea that pure democracy often in the heat of passion will deny basic freedoms to a minority of its citizens or misuse the treasury to the "people's" benefit.

Another concern they had was that the Federal Government would grow too powerful and this is the reason that Senator's were not elected directly. What Koan doesn't understand is .....well... maybe nothing.

I consider that a truism we all know. I don't discuss how to count to 10 either.
