That's not true. It's just a player interface to the same bits, as long as you encode everything in h264!
I guess you're right. I was thinking that they'd all be standalone .swf files, but that wouldn't make sense. Thanks for setting me straight.

I was just thinking about this, and I remember that when Amazon made the switch from Flash to HTML5, it took a very long time, and during the transition some videos were available without Flash, and some weren't. Even if they were just generating new wrappers for the content, it wasn't a trivial undertaking.
