But neither the MacBook Air nor the iPad were what people meant when they said Apple had to make a netbook. Ok, then Apple needs to ship a product that wipes out the 7" tablet market...and timing matters in a platform game. The reviews on the Nexus tablet are very good, and at that price, it provides a value proposition that challenges the iPad. On a personal note, I would have a hard time recommending an iPad at $499 over the Nexus unless somebody had a real need for a 10" tablet. The iOS ecosystem is worth quite a bit, but not that much.
