Yes, razors are a great clams. I used to dig pismo clams before the sea otters cam back and wiped them out. But sea otter brought back the giant kelp beds by eating the sea urchins.

Too dangerous up here to eat clams because of the red tide and state cannot check all beaches.

A friend just brought me a 10 lb halibut right out of the ocean. Nothing better.

I like them lightly fried in egg and flour and eaten with a lemon / butter sauce or coated and baked with egg, flour and parmesan cheese.

Your life must include a lot of interaction with the ocean. I like being around the ocean. Could never leave her. She is my mistress.
