Our friend Charlie added a converter to his trailer. (Neeka and spouse met him yesterday.)

Had 2 8D batteries 2 6s, an inverter and 2 solar panels on my boat - and a generator which I used once a week to top everything off. Kept everything running smoothly. The toaster, microwave and water heater really sucked up the juice though. Had to space out their use.

Makes me appreciate Dusty so much. I've gone a month on one battery charge, but then again, we don't have a furnace, just that little propane wall heater. You'd need three of them to keep your rig warm. They are very frugal and do not hog fuel. We need the battery for the one overhead light and the water pump. Sometimes simple is best, and you know how I vacillate between simple and complicated. We're all plain lucky to have rigs.
