* Dr. Alan Provonost Recent defection of Dr. P to the Irish Stud Farm at Sandyford Estates plus the retention of Dr. Robert Boteler has me befuddled ! This past August when B-D was rattling " Q " , rumors were flying that Dr. Provonost was very disenchanted ( he was VP of R& D at Q ) with the impending lawsuit . One rumor has it that he was fired but the company position is that he has resigned. It seems we are in one of those "quiet periods " at the moment but I hope to chat with the Irish lads soon. The Latest from Rumor Control Center.... Doctors Provonost and Robert Boteler are " consultants" to Trinity Biotech and not full time staff members. They have not moved to Dublin. Trinity expansion plans......they will make those decisions in the Spring of 98 whether they stay in Sandyford or move to a larger facillity. Centocor Diagnostics........still up and running in Guildford , County Surrey , UK.........cash flow positive to TRIBY and all new diagnostic test products will join the Clark/ Wampole line Nothing firm on any plans to move the CNTO business over to Dublin. Unigold HIV.........the US FDA allows themselves 180 days ( 6 months ) to reply to a submission and they took exactly 180 days to come back to Trinity....... they continue to request low- incidence sera from all parts of the world as a requirement for the approval process. ( obviously a very time consuming task ) to be continued....
