Hi bruwin,

I don't know if the companies I'm attracted to would be liked by many value investors and I might get laughed off stage for this suggestion, but my largest position currently is AAPL so I'd have to nominate it if it qualifies. It's in my portfolio based on both my Buffettology valuation worksheet modeling as well as my Joel Greenblatt inspired approach. Of course a company is more than the numbers, but I think there should be alot attractive in AAPL to recommend it to Buffet-type investors who approach the company as a powerful brand with pricing power. The requirement of sustained innovation is the scarier part of the investment (I'm not sure of much of anything anymore in tech 10 yrs out), but if you're going to need sustained innovation to survive AAPL has shown ability to do so.

Feel free to reject this one if it doesn't fit the profile you're looking for though.

I am recommending three stocks that have been in my portfolio for awhile. als.to ( atusf), mil and slw.
these are all metal and commodity related companies. and I believe they are all superbly managed and sell at big discounts to their underlying values. this has been a very trying period for value investors.

Hi Bruwin

Been a while! I see that your portfolio has performed very strongly over the past year or so! It would be great to participate in what you have proposed! Its a shame that we cannot repeat some of WB's holdings as I do like PG and COP's values now. But plenty of choices out there.

Nowadays I am generally looking at the company's ability to continuously grow its dividend on top of having a good, simple and profitable business.

I'll be able to give you a list of my choices during the course of next week I think, but the reasons for those choices may have to wait a bit longer, but rest assured I will get around to doing it.

Crazy, volatile world out there. There are some days where I just ignore the stock market completely, for fear of being driven completely bonkers! Anyway, best of luck with the responses and let's hope for the best out there
