Are there any bars in Landstuhl? :-)

You're certainly right on about the beef. Saw a guy this morning on the news (they were interviewing farmer/ranchers at a 'special' cattle sale) who said he has had only 2 inches of rain on his farm since February... South Central Missouri. We're approximately 17" under 'normal' over the past 12 months. Hay is double & triple priced due to the shortages.

No one can feed their cattle through this drought, so they're selling them off. He said he was selling 60% of his herd this week, and may have to sell another 20% or more next week. The buyers were from western states that are getting water. The market is/will be glutted, and if things work as they're supposed to we will see some very good prices on beef. The ranchers had all already filled their freezers, and one said he had bought two more freezers at home to fill with beef, before he sells most of his off.

Things are getting pretty nasty here in the Show Me state!
