FWIW I've been nibbling at ANLY and AGNC as a USD up hedge and for yield..

not shooting the moon with anything.. gold does look to be in a downtrend for now..
Maybe Rogers has the right idea..

Tuesday, June 19, 2012 Jim Rogers will buy gold at $1100, $1200, $1300

Jim Rogers from Rogers Holdings tells NDTV Profit he is more optimistic about agriculture than other commodities. He is shorting the India markets and notes problems such as government intervention and inflation.

Jim states he would buy a lot of gold at $1100, $1200, and $1300.

Bottom Line: Jim noted in the interview commodities are in a correction. I believe this will continue with counter trend rallies in between.

In terms of gold, I continue to remain bullish however, I have mentally not erased my possible $1100-$1300 downside target in gold.

As noted in my blog, Marc Faber, editor of the Gloom Boom and Doom report told Bloomberg gold has bottomed. One great investor I don't like betting against.

I am therefore increasing cash via gold sales of about 50% of Au

Is that you who've been causing the price decline in NGD?

I am therefore increasing cash via gold sales of about 50% of Au, using 50% to short euro and 50% to buy gold back much cheaper as euro crisis intensifies. After the European haircuts are put in place, it will be the USD's turn, but that is a lot farther out on the horizon. A lot can happen.

The EZ politicians all have nightmares about the Greek civil unrest spreading like wildfire. They will print all Euros necessary to prevent that from happening. Same for Uncle Sam:-)........regarding your 50% position, isn't that like straddling the stream with your nuts dangling in the water?

hello c2, i had disappeared from the net for i am unsure how long. i had to get ahead of my 3D work so that i can take a 3D respite.

i report that my son jack, 2 by end of august, now likes cars, olives, cold cuts, and had just recently pointed to and commented on some girl passing by his restaurant vantage point, "pretty". i told him it was not polite to point.

earlier he had been refused another helping of berries by grandmother, and he had presence of astuteness with, "please. I love you". more berries went jack's way in a big hurry.

just super jack.

while i am as yet unsure how jack will pay for his passions later in life, but am certain that he is the sort who would enjoy his work as he would his passions. he will work at play and play in work. in the mean time, "please, i love you" should work for awhile longer.

we are now in france, and while the plane was landing jack fussed about going home. we fed him some local yogurt and chocolate donut, his first, while waiting for the car to be readied. as he was engulfing the donut and devouring the yogurt, we asked jack, "go home?" ... "nooooooooO" came the long drawn out reply.

the place we are at is somewhat larger than our hovel in hong kong, as it features a lake

it is an arduous approach to the abode

the owning family lives on the ground and claim legacy from some 400 years ago, when the ancestor was regent to the king

our corner of the abode is adequate for our summer needs

as we have our own pool

window w/ a view

jack is going through some sort of a growth spurt and the kitchen is adequate for his purpose - breakfast of jack is goat's milk from nearby farm, fried eggs, and nuttella (chocolate) roll

and erita rather like reading in bed but after breakfast

cheers, tj

p.s. the bathrooms are not disappointments, for we of hong kong have heard of bathrooms the size of living rooms, and sure enough, the bathrooms here are the size of living rooms in hong kong :0)

p.p.s. today we need to get some grocery shopping done. i hope that would be all to the simple mission.
