Ramsey, now that's an interesting post! If the DJ hits 6000, thinking about you is unlikely to be high on my to do list, but maybe I'll throw you a few vibes as I descend from whatever high-rise window I'm jumping out of. From geopolitical moper to thread house mother (Caxton's punishment seemed harsh, eh?), you are a versatile little devil. But now to the intrigue--little did I know that everyone's favorite canine snuck in from a different kennel. Come on fess up--what crimes did he commit? Did he work for Motorola for 23 years and assemble a huge position in Ericy? Was he a legal beagle (get it?) and wear cuff-links and the dreaded tassled loafers? Inquiring minds demand to know! Ramsey, Concur with you on one thing, disagree on another. I think there is a serious possibility of the Dow going under 6000 within the next six months if the SEA "turmoil" doesn't get straightened out. The key to the start of the downturn would be a drop of the Nikkei under 15,000, IMHO, in which case you could see the big banks pulling in real estate loans...causing the urgent sale of real estate...dropping real estate prices...which reduces the backing for more loans...and the cycle goes on... When the waves lap up on the U.S. shores from that scenario...well, DOW 6000 might seem high.. Could happen (All IMHO) What I disagree about is "letting it go" with this Auric Goldfinger character.. What you may not have understood is --- HE came on to the thread and started attacking people. This was a peaceful, friendly thread... Heck, I was just visiting a friend there --- I don't even own the stock !!.. and I was far from his first target. His last attacks come because I told him I don't want him contacting me: exchange2000.com I just disagree we have to put up with this kind of crap on SI. If someone wants a heated discussion with me --- fine... but to have some lowlife jump in and attack you when it's not even his conversation... well, I gotta try (maybe a futile attempt??) Anyway, don't give up keeping folks aware that not all is flowers and bliss in reaction to SEA.. <g> Happy Investing!! dlo
