IMO the very future of this country lies in the ability of the Rupublican party to communicate with and win over at least a good portion of both the black and hispanic communities.

Kudos for Romney for having the guts to show up and do his best in front of a (for now at least) hostile group.

when he was the governor of Massachusetts. Upon taking office, for his instance, he eliminated the state’s Office of Affirmative Action.
Many here still don't believe that Romney is a budget cutter. The above fact - which is actually meant to be a criticism - is but one of several departments he cut or merged when he became governor.

The people who attend the NAACP convention are professional victims like Sharpton, Jackson and of course Obama. They will never support any candidate who dares to suggest personal responsibility.

Michael Medved broke up Romney's speech into segments, which showed the lite applause, and the heavier applause, the one group of boooooooo's....(not surprisingly it was the section about wanting to get rid of Obamacare ....this group of people seems to think it is their due to have someone else pick up their bills and pay for them) BUT there was only that section of boo'ing. And RIGHT after that, there was a section that Mitt got loud and long applause....

Betch the media won't tell anyone that....but the Booing will make all the headlines.....

It was a good speech, and for the first time, really started to lay out his plan of action.....
