Voting for stocks turns it into a popularity contest...... aapl wins a popularity contest hands down. By all means include it. On the other hand, there are better value stocks in the "unpopular" section. I ask, "Is it a growth stock or a value stock ?". It cannot be both IMHO.

I cite Haugen's The New Finance as my reference. But here are some figures from back in April that helped form my opinion Incidentally, I own neither.

ratio apple RIM

P/E 17.2 5.8
P/B 6.26 0.75
P/S 4.4 0.4
