FCX - It is a good company with good results (ROE, margins, even FCF) during good times. However, it is macro-cyclical. So if we assume that we are not on the top of the macro cycle, it is a great buy. Assuming we are going into a macro recession and worldwide slump, the price is less attractive. If you take their 2009 results as a base, the stock is barely a buy.

Personally, if I did not hold FCX, I'd buy a small position and increase it over time. Since I already have some FCX, I am not rushing to add. But this is just me. Others have their own approaches.

Disclosure: I am long FCX.
