Just the mention of that happening would send shock waves globally and at the same time provide the much needed motivation for these dead beat politicians to get their house in order in a timely fashion. Of course there is history to take into consideration and we all know if you want to get a German excited just start beating the drums. Europe has a long history of settling their disputes without diplomacy so it can't be ruled out if history is our guide. Just 15 years ago we saw massive genocide in Yugoslavia. The idea is a bit over the top but I don't see how anyone can say "it can't happen".
