Thanks for your thoughts.

I think PLT is probably more innovative on the technical side. I like SKUL for the fact that it is selling a brand with innovative marketing. It seems to be doing for headphones what Nike did for shoes. Its main competitor is Beats, which is also growing rapidly. I think Beats will ultimately be more limited in its appeal by its association with Dr Dre and the famously over-hyped Monster brand. Skullcandy doesn't claim technical superiority(although their high-end is pretty good) - they are just cool and have great marketing strategies and sponsorships. In Europe, for example, they are supporting newly famous musicians (or making them famous) and get great street credibility from that.

The next earnings announcement from SKUL is in 3 weeks. Maybe I'll start a thread to see who else may want to voice an opinion.

FWIW, I don't own Skullcandy headphones or stock (yet), but I have a bunch of call options.
