Michael,

You are certainly correct as far as returns on a short position go. However, I started the Zitel Bearometer in response to a challenge by a certain Zitel long, who seemed to have a little trouble with algebra. Now he can check the Bearometer daily to see how much his position is deteriorating. It does seem to be a little quieter around here lately.
