I like both of them. But Rice is, IMO, a highly competent individual and she is of impeccable character, and would add more to the ticket than Rubio.

The only thing that might stop Romney from getting elected is this continued smear campaign, which IS having an effect, however small. And I do think people will tire of it and at some point start asking why Obama is avoiding talking about his own record. But if they don't, Rice solves the problem. Obama would have a very difficult time with the Romney smear tactics with Rice out there countering it.

OTOH, I've been a Condi Rice fan since I first heard her speak in the late 90s so I do have some bias toward her.
