I had hoped for Cheney stepping down early in Bush's second term with health as an excuse and Bush selecting Condi as his replacement. As Secretary of State she would have been confirmed easily and I think Republicans would have reaped a lot of credit for the move and furthered prospects for women in the Oval Office, but I'm doubtful Condi would help more than hurt in November.

no way, why would a black vote for a black VP when they can vote for a Black President ? I doubt if she will flip 1% of the black vote
