I said David Gergen made the comments last night that Romney was gone from Bain after 99. I DO NOT believe Romney - I am inclined to believe Gergen. And my comment is that Gergen is wrong. Unless he is qualifying his answer to such a degree that it's meaningless. The Huffington Post piece takes care of Gergen. As well as Romney. As for Gergen, he was one of my lodestones for a while, certainly in the early Clinton years. But the partisan wars are far too intense now for middle-of-the-roaders like Gergen to be informed.
