<<<<demonstrates a level of national acceptance of corruption that is startling and is unsustainable>>>>

I pretty much agree with you here Metacomet, where we differ is I don't see that Obama is much better. The banking industry that took us over the edge is still in place and is much stronger (hmmmm, "bigger") than when Obama took office. The taxpayer picked up the cost of their mismanagement and for that we should be happy? Meanwhile under Obama our debt continues to explode. As my neighbor said yesterday; Obama could have been another Teddy Roosevelt but instead seems to be afraid of offending the monied interest. To me I see we got more of that "acceptance of corruption" and even worse the taxpayer paid them money.

I don't know if this article was posted but I did find it interesting with all the talk about banks and corruption going on

bloomberg.com

It really speaks for more regulation or maybe just better enforcement of what is on the books. Maybe what we should be doing is hiring more regulators to make sure this type of stuff doesn't go on. And it makes me feel that if Romney should find a way to get elected, we will be facing another financial type of disaster if he would get his way and deregulate further.
