the price cut announcement is too try to get someone to buy them before engaging in a lose-lose price war... think most people probably thought the dividend was at least a little at risk. they had already cut it before. i am sure the banks made them cut the dividend. i thought you owned it prior to the conference call.. perhaps i was mistaking you for someone else. let's see what swy does. i just like that better (marginally an okay position) because they are buying back shares and generate a great deal of cash flow. but they might be secularly challenged. folks have been shorting these stocks for a long time. they would just prefer to buy KR and then short swy,svu and then collect the profits.
