KU, I agree with that...the 1994 was a bolder move...(economy) but, when you add all the negatism in the USA right now..it's still one of those gambits.(SADDAM INSANE, FAREAST, FIDELITY tech purge) Sort of like Queen's Gambit Declined... People are into the wait for price drop mode....they know they are going to buy one between now and dec 31. they just don't wait to buy one and then see a 300 dollar price drop.. so, if they waited til dec 1 and got a 30 day price garuantee. then they are protected. But, Nov. 28th is the biggest shopping day of the yr. in the states.
