Obama Shows His Total Ignorance About BusinessJuly 13th, 2012 Here is another excerpt from the Obama’s interview with Charlie yesterday, from Mike Allen, via Politico’s Playbook: CHARLIE ROSE: “Do you believe [Romney’s] presidency would be a disaster? Because this is a man who’s been a successful businessperson. Does that disqualify him … ?” OBAMA: “Well, I do not think at all it disqualifies him. But I also think it’s important if that’s his main calling card, if his basic premise is that ‘I’m Mr. Fix-It on the economy, because I made a lot of money.’” ROSE: “But that’s not what he’s saying.” OBAMA: “Well, no, that is to some degree. What he says is he understands the economy and the private sector … I think it is entirely appropriate to look at that record and see whether, in fact, … his focus was creating jobs and he successfully did that. And when you look at the record, there are questions there that have to be asked. … So, once again, Obama shows that he thinks the "focus" of the private sector should be to provide jobs. “[W]hen some people question why I would challenge his Bain record, the point I’ve made there in the past is if you’re a head of a large private equity firm or hedge fund, your job is to make money. It’s not to create jobs. Can Obama, or indeed anyone, cite a single business whose job it is to create jobs? Not even companies that find people employment see their mission as creating jobs. They are out to make money. Obama does not understand even the most basic premises of capitalism. Such as the ‘invisible hand.’ It’s not even to create a successful business. What nonsense. Romney was trying to make Bain Capital a successful business. And he was wildly successful, in a very difficult and highly competitive field. Besides, under Romney, Bain Capital created and save more than 150 other businesses. Which is exactly 150 more businesses than Obama has ever created or saved. All Obama has ever done is destroy businesses. It’s to make sure that you’re maximizing returns for your investor. Now that’s appropriate. That’s part of the American way. That’s part of the system. You have to admit that Obama maximizes returns for his investors — the Democrat Party. His various stimulus packages, his general policies, have all been geared to maximizing profits for the Democrat Party. To buy votes by bailing out the unions and expanding the dependency class. But that doesn’t necessarily make you qualified to think about the economy as a whole, because as president, my job is to think about the workers. My job is to think about communities, where jobs have been outsourced.” So why is he destroying the American economy with higher taxes and higher energy costs and more regulations? Why is he pushing ‘green energy’ loans to companies that outsource jobs and billions of dollars overseas? What community has not been devastated by Obama’s economic policies?
