My luxury for being independent I guess. Greetings, Steve. I understand and you understand my point. That Romney was responsible for Bain's actions during this period whether he attended a single board meeting or not. Their actions were clearly in accordance with the company culture, created and maintained by Romney. It was his company. To fail to take responsibility of actions done by his company during his absence is simply a large human failure. The Obama people have pinned him on this and there is simply no easy way out. There are two issues: did his company, the company he started, maintained, ran, owned, you name it, continue his policies of outsourcing and reap rewards from companies before taking them into bankruptcy or selling them such that they soon went to bankruptcy. That's the first. The second is whether he tries, as his the meme about Romney, to duck and dodge his way out. But that's his basic style. So, for me, this is about large things, not small things--his companies disregard for workers in search of ever more money and his character. You know me well enough to know I would not vote for him regardless. His policies are destructive in seriously damaging ways. But for lots of voters, these issues that are being debated are the critical ones. And so long as the Obama folk succeed in making the election about Romney and Romney can't handle them, lots of voters will tilt away. Enough to give the election to Obama? Hard to say.
