Barack Obama clearly defined his Marxist ideology and his disdain for the hard working people who build and sustain our nation. President Obama believes it is government that is responsible for the economic progress and success of the United States. Obama believes that without government there is no progress. Obama believes small business owners and all others who make money owe the government whatever the government wants in the form of tax payments. Amy Payne wrote in The Heritage Foundation Morning Bell , That sound you hear is silence—as millions of small business owners and entrepreneurs were left speechless this weekend from President Obama’s latest insult. The slap in the face to hard-working Americans conveyed Obama’s belief that it takes a village—a heavily subsidized village—to create that venture you’re profiting from: “Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business—you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.” Obama pushed his policy goals of infrastructure (aka stimulus) spending and “government research” as part of a collectivist utopia “doing things together.” It’s simply stunning that he would tell Americans, “If you’ve got a business—you didn’t build that.” After all, could individuals be resourceful and hard-working enough to create whole new enterprises? Obama said: “Look, if you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own. You didn’t get there on your own. I’m always struck by people who think, well, it must be because I was just so smart.” It is this view of successful businesses—essentially, “You owe us”—that drives Obama’s continued attacks on the country’s job creators in the form of tax hikes and regulations. Freedom Outpost nicely summarized Barack Obama’s Marxist spirit, In short form, Barack Obama simply wishes to dismiss the entrepreneurial spirit of business owners and demonize capitalists. He has always been a government hand out kind of guy and has lived on the government dole for the majority of his life. He knows nothing of being an entrepreneur, nor what it takes to manage a business. He certainly has shown he has absolutely no idea how to govern a nation. Barack Obama would do well to inspire people to greatness, but instead of inspiring, he demoralizes. He wishes he could tell more stories, but we all just wish he would shut up, pack his bags and leave for a country where such thinking as his might be better suited, say Russia. Obama conveniently forgets that it is oppressive government that is the problem. Government stifles innovation, efficiency, and economic achievement. Investor’s Business Daily wrote, In his war on American exceptionalism, President Obama has turned the sights on exceptional Americans. If you've built a successful business, it wasn't your dream or your sweat — somebody else made it happen. The unbridled disdain President Obama has for the entrepreneurs who work hard and risk everything was made plain when he told supporters in Roanoke, Va.: "If you've got a business — you didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen." This was stunning news and a colossal slap in the face to the millions of small-business owners who get up every day and by the sweat of their brow and the drive of their ambition still pursue the American dream in spite of the obstacles and hurdles this administration has put in front of them. In Obama's collectivist world view, we are all ants on a socialist ant farm. We are sheep being led by a government shepherd. Wealth, as we now know, is not to be created but to be redistributed in the manner of the Marxist slogan — to each according to his need and from each according to his ability. Obama and other Progressive Left Democrats forced banks to make home loans to people who were incapable of making their home mortgage payments. It was the strong arm of government tyranny during the Clinton Administration that created a housing bubble of houses on which the mortgages could not be paid. People establish governments to serve them and to provide the services that large amounts of money and planning require. Our Founding Fathers intended for our federal government to maintain a strong and powerful military to protect our national interests throughout the World, to protect our borders, and to protect us. Interstate highways and some other areas of interstate commerce are also best handled at the federal level. The states and local governments are best suited to provide water, sewage, police and fire protection, and roadways to facilitate local travel and commerce. Much that our federal government attempts to control, such as health care, welfare, and education would be best placed under the control of local governments and the states. It is government bureaucracy, red tape, and regulations that inhibit and demoralize inventors, entrepreneurs, and investors. Governments are created to serve the people and not to control the people. Socialism, both Marxism and Fascism, has its fundamental goal of controlling the people. Barack Obama has waged war on achievement, American Exceptionalism, Religious Freedom, Liberty, and the American Dream. Obama has clearly shown that he is a Marxist who believes government provides all opportunity and people owe all to the government. lubbockonline.com
