There is Craig, and then there is Silt, New Castle, Gypsum, Eagle and Rifle. Glenwood Springs would be ideal imo. Buy a house close to town. Walk over to the hot springs every night for a warm dip. Close to I-70 and points east or west. Golf courses, restaurants, a great library and city center, Sunlight ski area (although very small) and the Roaring Fork River. Direct bus line up to Aspen/Snowmass and all the stores a person needs. Big city amenities with small town feel. Haven't been in over 10 yrs, so I might be dreaming?
