Epicure, your comments on religion this morning are spot on and inspirational. Your post deserve a tip of the hat!

I've known several Mormons and they are good benevolent people. Some of their ideas I've seen in the people I know are worth thinking about; they are peaceful - maybe this will get us to mind our business and stay out of wars? They provide a huge public service in their genealogy research program - what a concept, provide something for the people instead of corporations. Aren't they also suppose to keep a years food supply - isn't that a way of thinking about the future that seems missing in todays government?

I too am an agnostic and have no tolerance of organized religion, but the qualities surrounding Mormonism are infinity better than the hard right christian coalition that wants to force their ideas down our throats and insist on going to war because of their hatred of others. I see none of that in Mormonism.
