Since Micropolis is defunct, I suppose they may simply be liquidating all available merchandise. As it is, I believe that their creditors are somewhat worried. As far as Samsung (or Hyundai), the Samsung Group has stated that their individual companies must come up with 70% of their own investment capital. I presume that includes their dd unit. Samsung and Hyundai had their bond ratings lowered last Friday, plus the IMF will probably impose restrictions on lending, among other things. The IMF will take some time to develop regulations on the Korean bailout. It is my understanding that the main source of IMF capital is the U.S. and Japan, and therefore they get the most imput. However, since the Japanese also get hurt when the Koreans dump, not just the U.S., I think that the U.S. and Japan will not be happy if the IMF allows the Koreans to continue their destructive practices. Depending on the IMF regulations, we may have some price stabilization.

Just a hopeful scenario, IMO.

>>Evidence of dumping showing up in the stores. My local Best Buy is advertising a 7 gig Micropolas drive for only about $50 more than a 2.1 gig Western Digital. <<
