Thinking ahead... If the iPhone 5 is not the greatest thing since peanut butter, will Nokia have a chance, once a Nokia W8 PureView comes out, presumably before the end of year shopping frenzy? Could be an interesting three horse race by then, between Samsung, Apple and Nokia, for the best of breed phonecam. (Assuming Nokia does not go belly up or get gobbled up, before 2012 ends.) Kinda looking forward to that possibility! :-) Of course, if they delay the Nokia W8 PureView past xmas? All bets are off, and I better figure out a way to short NOK.

Over the weekend, just as a random occurrence, and friend and I did a side by side with Google and Siri... We were casually watching some crappy old movie on TV... chatting about the actors... and wondered how old actress Glenn Close was... Some is predictable... but, funny still... "Siri, how old is Glenn Close"... Thinks for a bit... comes back with "there are 25 Glenn's within X radius of you"... No, Siri... How old is Glenn Close... ? Thinks for a bit... comes back with "there are 12 Glenn's within X (smaller) radius"... No, Siri... How old is Glenn Close... ? Thinks... and says... "There are no Glenn's close to you"... Yeah... I wonder how hard they had to work to train John Malkovich to remember his lines in the Siri commercial ? Now, all Apple has to do is train everyone else to ask only the questions Siri will answer...
