To All, TERADYNE INC. said reports circulating of a delay in its orders were false. Tom Newman, vice president of corporate relations, said "There are two reports. One is that there has been a cancellation. They are absolutely not true. The other is that there has been a delay in an order forecast for this quarter." "All we said was that given the chaos in (South) Korea, it would not be prudent to guarantee that business would be exactly on track. Kumar, Thanks for your feedback. My wife and I plan to build a new house upon her retirement in five years at Hot Springs Village, Ark. I was explaining to her that I was wanting a server in the basement to run our multimedia room, security system, heating and airconditioning, and computers among otherthings. Naturally, I explained that this would require different wiring, etc. She looked at me like I was nuts.:) However, when I indicated that she would have a sunroom for her plants and crafts she said, right on. Better yet, I bought her a new Avalon with the 12 diskette player, sunroof. She hardly will let me drive it, saving I will get it dirty.:) Guess I will have to be like Gottfried and get a sailboat for the large lake 20 minutes away from the Village. Each of us beat to a different drummer. Guess I am a technocrat. Paul V
