The perfect answer is none of the above. You take the tax deduction and move on.

If you do have to raise prices a bit, you do it. If you have to, your peers will have to.

And, maybe the folks that work for your peers will be able to eat at your joint once in a while. Maybe a lot of folks will, and you can hire more people.

Test? I face far more complicated tests every day... in real life. Often with the company on the line.

BTW we're just under 50 people and we offer insurance. Because its the right thing to do. These people are not monkeys, you want good people you offer benefits. You pay them well, you give them benefits, and they work very hard and they care.

Your view of people as cattle is far too cynical.
