Unless it can be sold under a vanity label like Perrier, it is generally unfeasible to ship water any appreciable distance.

In reading about your question on how faraway from a plant does it become unecononical to ship WATER Cith of Denver go water "Summer 1992" shipped via rail from south of Chicago. When R/R could not keep up they called use and we haul water in are stainless truck tankers. Water is shipped everyday to some point you just would not think they would.
