Ron: You rather simple and straight forward question is irrelevent by it's self. Eps is a direct function of gross revenues, one without the other means very little. For example while .04 per share might be great for one company, it would do little to appease shareholders of lets say chrysler. In 1995 rev. were 20 mil., in 1996 rev. were 80 mil., an increase of 300%!! Even with that increase eps were a sad .02. Kloc needs to keep increasing revenues and move some money out of managements pockets and into the pockets of the long and loyal shareholders. If they could squeeze out .06 for 1997 and continue to increase this in proportion to revenues then institutions might give them a serious look. They announced a contract on cracker of I think 35mil (my memory might be wrong) this is substantial! Their price barely moved up then down even lower. Why? Because investors have come to relize the reality that these monies will never make it to the bottom line. Any of the other companies that I own would have sky- rocketed on the news of a contract of more than 1/3 of last years rev.
IMHO

Sincerely:
C. W. Oakes
