"I was glad to hear about Jim Carlton's book. Did he ever write his article for WSJ in which he was going to do a bit on the Mac OS rumors site?"

As far as I know, Carlton/the WSJ never did a profile of the "Mac OS Rumors" site.

I usually don't read the "Dear Steve" letters at Mac Central. But I understand that Steve Jobs does cruise various sites to pick up info from the Mac community. Presumably, Mac Central is one of them. Rumor has it he reads several others regularly too. I don't know if he's ever responded personally to anyone other than Ric Ford however.

It's tough to stay committed to AAPL with so many high fliers out there. I'd hang-on to see if Jobs can get the company back into the black this quarter. I'm betting he will.

In the spirit of the season, I have a feeling that this is the high water mark for the PC and the low water mark for the Mac right now. We'll see.

Happy Thanksgiving.
