almost entirely left up to the discretion of the medical insurance companies themselves, as they've always been

Are you kidding me? Where do I start? Central Planning is already dictating what insurance companies will and will not do. ACA is already telling Catholic hospitals what they will and will not do. Want some more examples? Would it matter?

How about, God forbid, your mother comes down with cancer and Central Planning sends her home with a couple of pain pills after disallowing the procedure. You want to do jail time for flying her to India for treatment? Today if I disagree with my insurance company, I can get a lawyer, or I can also seek other avenues of treatment. When your Central Planning says NO, ballgame is over.

Ask yourself why members of congress exempted themselves from Obamacare.
