>His policies are in black and white and can be evaluated on their merits, irrespective of the contents of his tax returns.

Yes, they can. But his returns are good examples of how the policies he favors help him and people of his ilk.

And once again, that's only the symbolic reason. We should know how the heck he ends up with $100 mil in an IRA, and why he's dodging taxes using Swiss and Cayman bank accounts. Contrary to what Huckleberry Graham thinks, that doesn't seem American to me. I know I wouldn't do that. Then again, I don't have a desire to make money so badly that I'll do it by cutting pensions and laying people off. But I've been accused of being too generous and nice with employees in the past. It's not an accusation that makes me feel bad in any way! I couldn't live with myself for making money the way Romney does.

>In providing two years of returns, he is complying with the law. If you don't like it, change the law.

I'm actually now on record saying that I don't like that the Dems are trying to change the law right now. But maybe after the election. In the meantime, Romney doesn't HAVE to do anything. But there's a difference between HAVE TO and SHOULD. Just like I think you shouldn't destroy people's jobs to make money. Do you?
