No AR-15 is an assault rifle. All assault rifles are machine guns and fire full auto with a selector switch. No AR-15 was manufactured to fire full auto.

It occurs to me the mainstream media and the Aurora shooter are both delusional

The shooter dressed as the Joker was acting out some delusion. The media's immediate kneejerk response of claiming the tea party or Rush Limbaugh or Sarah Palin are the cause of this or that shooting is equally fantasy based.
